Trip to Australia, New Zeland and Fiji

Nancy and Dave went on this trip with a group of Sun City Roseville Cyclers from February 7 through February 27, 2007. We traveled with a group of 44 people brought together by Grand Circle Tours. Our journey lasted for 21 days and included: 3 days in Cairns, 3 days in Sydney Australia, 3 days in Christchurch, 3 days in Queenstown and 2 days in Auckland, New Zealand. Then, we flew to Fiji for another 3 days and stayed at the Warwick Resort. The highlights of the trip were snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, seeing the Sydney Opera House and Dave climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. In Christchurch, we enjoyed an evening visit with Ed's friends that he met while he was in the Navy: Operation "Deep Freeze". We also visited a Sheep Station in Queenstown and cruised Milford Sound. While it was good to spend time with people we knew, we also enjoyed meeting many new friends from the states.
